WWP Files 60-day Notice Letter with the US Fish & Wildlife Service to Protect Threatened Pygmy Rabbits

In January 2009 WWP  has filed a Notice Letter referencing the failure of the US Fish & Wildlife Service to comply with a so-called 12 month finding following its 90-day finding that listing pygmy rabbits may be warranted under the Endangered Species Act.  The US Fish & Wildlife Service’s positive 90-day finding followed a federal court order to complete a 90-day Finding on WWP’s Petition to List the Pygmy Rabbit under the protections of the Endangered Species Act previously brought by Western Watersheds Project.
